Optimist International Scholarship Contests
The West Tacoma Optimist Club sponsors the Optimist International Oratorical and Essay Contests and annually sponsors two additional scholarships to deserving seniors.
All contests begin at the club level.
Tri-Star Basketball
Each year, the West Tacoma Optimist Club visits the Narrows View Intermediate School for a basketball skills competition. More than 800 students participate in dribbling, passing and shooting demonstrations.
Sea Scouts
The West Tacoma Optimist Club proudly sponsors the Sea Scouts and the Sea Scout Ship 110, the Charles N. Curtis.
Fundraisers
The West Tacoma Optimist Club hosts two fundraisers each year. Both include lively silent auctions.
The Joeseppi's takeover benefits scouting programs sponsored by the Optimist Club.
The Pancake Breakfast benefits all programs and needs of the West Tacoma Optimist Club.
